
Why specialized marketing in transport and logistics?
“Why?” is a question we hear constantly. Because marketing can and should be done in this extraordinary sector, one that very few truly understand or consciously address.
Transport contributes approximately 5% to the EU’s GDP. The sector is a major employer, with over 11 million people, and accounts for around 75% of all goods transported within the EU being moved by road.
In Romania, freight road transport is a highly important economic engine, with over 40,000 companies operating both domestically and internationally. According to current data, the transport and storage sector contributed approximately 6% to GDP in 2023. At the same time, it is still not widely recognized that Romania is an important hub in Eastern Europe, due to its geographical position, workforce, and developing infrastructure.
Therefore, the transport sector is one of the most important and complex in the economy yet it communicates too little, or not at all.
